VMware HCL searchable
VMGuy posted a very very useful item today… The HCL is searchable!!
No more downloading PDF’s before you give an advice, just search the up to date HCL
Not only can you search the HCL, but you can also subscribe to “what’s new”, so you get updates when they arrive.
VMGuy reported on this very good news. But, who is this VMGuy?
His own introduction:
I am an IT professional with 14 years of experience in the technology industry. I am currently employed as a Senior Systems Engineer at VMware in the Commercial Sales Organization. Prior to joining VMware, I have previously held engineering positions at EMC and NetApp as well. Before entering the vendor world, I spent 7 years as a Windows, Virtualization, Storage Administrator at Limited Brands (Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, etc). My first virtualization project was a 120 server consolidation onto VMware in 2001. Needless to say, it was wildly successful.
I have thought about a blog for a long time. There were many ideas and directions that I had considered for topics. What I thought was most appropriate was a collection of answers to the most common questions. My goal is to create a repository of ideas and tips from compiling all of the questions I receive from customers every day.
But this is only his introduction. I wanna meet the guy. Let’s hope that he’s on VMworld Europe 2009.
